The 30-year-old historian Petrunya is too old and too well educated for the job in a sewing factory, and too much of a woman for what follows after the job interview. While she is resigned on her way home from the interview, she abruptly finds herself on a riverbank with a group of half-naked men who, in the icy cold, are diving into a race for a blessed cross. Petrunya jumps into the water with them and becomes a disruptive factor in an established system when she actually becomes the winner. A game of cat and mouse begins, but only gradually does it become clear that the huntress is Petrunya and the hunted are desperately trying to escape into a crumbling patriarchy.

Teona Strugar Mitevska was born in 1974 in Skopje, Macedonia, and lives there and in Brussels. She first came into contact with film as a child actress. She trained as a graphic designer and studied film at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. Her feature film Jas sum od Titov Veles, was shown at over 80 festivals worldwide and won more than 20 awards. Together with her siblings Vuk and Labina, she runs the production company Sisters and Brother Mitevsk, which is also responsible for the production of God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya.
