At 17, Amber chose the gender-neutral Swedish pronoun "hen" and began counselling with a therapist specialising in gender identities. Change, friendship, identity and belonging, recurring cycles of seeking and finding characterize Amber’s everyday life. A portrait about love, communication, intimacy, the body, experimentation, about challenge, failure, success. A Film that unites so much and yet has a clear focus: Amber. And Amber, by being so close to her, makes us realise that friendships and intimacy will come and go, as well as notions of gender, body and belonging. But above all, that constant change is allowed and necessary if utopias are to be lived.
